We build custom homes on your lot throughout Lincoln County, Giles County, Franklin County, and into Madison County and Limestone County in Northern Alabama. The custom home process in Tennessee typically starts 3 to 6 months before any dirt moves. That time is spent finalizing plans, running soil tests if needed, securing financing, and waiting on permit approval from the county. In Lincoln County and surrounding areas, permit timelines typically run 2 to 6 weeks depending on the complexity of the build and current county workload.
Once permits are approved and the site is cleared, a typical custom home build in this region takes 8 to 14 months. Larger homes or builds with complex custom finishes can run longer. Weather is a factor in Tennessee. We plan our pour schedules and framing windows around the forecast and always have contingencies built into the timeline we give you at the start.
